About Me

I grew up with immersive theme park lands. Ten years ago, I got brave enough to ride roller coasters, and became enthralled with these machines and what goes into creating them. I dedicated my free time to learning everything I could about them, researching the tallest, fastest and longest, and making it my mission to ride as many as I could. Later that year, thanks to a family vacation to Universal Studios Orlando, I fell in love with movies and theme parks at the same time. That passion fueled my creativity to tell stories, and I started to explore what I could do with writing.

On the theme park side, my experience came in stages: first, I observed and saw how impactful immersive storytelling can be through visits to parks. Then, I got involved. In 2019, I started as a writer for Coaster101, a leading name in the world of theme park blogs and news. Through my work with the site, I’ve gotten to speak to dozens of theme park professionals, from creative to culinary to operations. I’ve learned what works, and I’ve attended media events and the yearly IAAPA Expo to see firsthand where the industry is going. I’ve seen trends and technology grow together.

I attended Quinnipiac University, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Film, Television and Media Arts as well as a Master’s degree in Interactive Media. Along the way, I joined the campus sketch comedy television show, Quinnipiac Tonight, and worked my way up to the Head Writer position for my last two years. I spent a semester in Los Angeles interning at two production companies, learning the ins and outs of putting a story on the screen, from brainstorming sessions to the editing room. I continued to write, including dozens of sketches and short films, a feature length screenplay for my thesis, and a stage play that was performed at the yearly showcase. During my graduate year, I worked in New York City as a writer for Pure Magic Pictures’ morning show, Good Magical Morning, and late night comedy show Good Night Tonight. I got to take my industry production background and my writing proficiency, and actually produce a weekly show.
Then, during my DIsney College Program, I was accepted as a Passenger Services Crew Member at the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, and I got the culmination of everything I had been working towards. Expertly crafted immersive storytelling, movies that I love, and an eight-month masterclass in everything I want to bring to theme parks. Things changed every day there, story and operations wise, and I loved working in a fast-paced, constantly flowing environment. I studied that every day and learned valuable lessons the best way I could; by actually doing it hands on. Now, I am ready and eager to bring all of this forward and give back to the industry that has given me so much.
